Terms and Conditions for the Publication and Promotion of Training Activities on the I-PAL Platform

1. Purpose
This document outlines the terms and conditions for the publication, dissemination, and promotion of courses, workshops, seminars, webinars, and any other training activities on the I-PAL platform (Heritage Interpretation for Latin America and the Caribbean). Its purpose is to ensure a clear, ethical, and transparent relationship between I-PAL and the instructors, facilitators, or entities responsible for such activities.
2. Activity Publication
2.1. Any training activity to be published on the platform must be accompanied by a formal proposal from the instructor or responsible entity, including:

  • Learning objectives

  • Thematic content

  • Modality (in-person, virtual, or hybrid)

  • Target audience

  • Schedule and duration

  • Fees and financial conditions

  • Technical and logistical requirements

2.2. I-PAL reserves the right to accept or reject proposals that do not align with the organisation’s mission, vision, and values or that fail to meet the established quality standards.
3. Responsibility for Copyright and Intellectual Property
3.1. I-PAL assumes no responsibility for the copyright of materials used or produced in training activities.
3.2. The management and legal compliance of these rights are the sole responsibility of the instructor or proposing entity.
3.3. Under no circumstances shall I-PAL be held liable to third parties for the misuse or unauthorised use of content protected by intellectual property rights.
4. Authorisation for Use of Materials
4.1. Copying, reproduction, modification, distribution, sale, or transfer—whether total or partial—of courses, workshops, or their associated materials is strictly prohibited without prior, express, and written authorisation from the relevant instructor or author.
4.2. Specific permissions will be formalised by accepting the terms and conditions in the DRAFT Format (Formal Authorisation Record), where the scope and limitations of use will be clearly defined.
4.3. I-PAL expressly states that the collection of information, documents, or forms related to training activities is solely intended to comply with the audit requirements of the Qualiopi quality label—which certifies the quality of professional training processes—as well as to support the institutional promotion of I-PAL’s training offerings. It in no way implies ownership of the course name, content, pedagogical design, or intellectual authorship.
5. Promotion and Dissemination
5.1. I-PAL commits to promoting approved training activities through its official channels:

  • Official website

  • Email newsletters

  • Social media platforms

  • Institutional and strategic partnerships

5.2. Responsibility for the creation of promotional materials (graphic design, videos, promotional texts) may be shared between I-PAL and the instructor, as agreed in the RAF.
5.3. I-PAL does not guarantee a minimum number of registrations, as participation depends on external factors such as market demand and the relevance of the topic.
6. Responsibilities of the Parties
6.1. Instructor or proposing entity:

  • Ensure the academic and technical quality of the activity

  • Comply with agreed deadlines and logistical requirements

  • Respect current intellectual property legislation

  • Provide complete and accurate information for activity promotion

6.2. I-PAL:

  • Promote the activity through its official channels

  • Provide technical and communication support if necessary

  • Manage registrations and facilitate activity delivery on the platform when applicable

7. Modifications and Cancellations
7.1. Any changes to the schedule, content, or conditions of the activity must be formally communicated to I-PAL in advance.
7.2. In the event of cancellation by the instructor, I-PAL will not be held responsible for any costs that such cancellation may cause to third parties.
8. Data Protection
8.1. Both parties commit to complying with current data protection legislation, ensuring the confidentiality and responsible use of participant information.
9. Administrative Costs
9.1. The administration of instructors and participants for a course, class, or mentoring session carries a fee set by I-PAL of 100 euros per year per instructor, and 15 euros per participant for each training activity.
9.2. The administrative costs mentioned in clause 9.1 will be retained by Ensense, which is fully responsible for managing I-PAL’s LMS.
10. Acceptance of Terms
The publication and promotion of any training activity via I-PAL implies the express acceptance of these terms and conditions.
